San Joaquin Valley Almond Day

San Joaquin Valley almond growers are invited to attend this annual event featuring the latest on almond research and activities in the San Joaquin Valley from advisors from the University of California Cooperative Extension.  Almond Day will be held virtually this year due to the pandemic via zoom. Sponsored by the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE), topics on the agenda will include: Care of Young Trees During Establishment;
Nitrogen Considerations in Replanted Orchards Following Whole Orchard Recycling; Update on Local Field Trials; Implementing Best Management Practices for Nitrogen Fertilization in Almonds; Update on Management of Hull Rot, the New Invasive Peach Root knot Nematode and Resurgence of Phytophthora Diseases in Kern County; Findings from Statewide Grower Survey on NOW management; and Monitoring/Management of Plant and Stink Bugs in Almonds.  See the full agenda HERE.  Register to attend HERE.
