Navel Orangeworm Best Practices – Almond Board Training
April 20 @ 8:00 AM - 9:30 AMFree
Almond growers and PCAs are invited to join the Almond Board of the California in their upcoming Training Tuesdays program, featuring former UCCE IPM Advisor Emily Symmes who now works for Suterra. During this training, growers will learn what Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices can be used to reduce damage caused by navel orangeworm (NOW). The benefits of incorporating mating disruption technology in an IPM program will also be shared, benefits including the potential for reducing insecticide inputs, mitigating insecticide resistance development, and limiting adverse non-target environmental and human impacts.
