Madera Tree & Vine Harvest Safety Training

Growers and their employees are invited to join the Madera County Farm Bureau and allied industry stakeholders at Midland Tractor off FWY 99 for a harvest safety training.  The first hour will contain general safety training including: good ag practices, night work, electrical lines, slips, trips, lifting, back, tractor, hitching/towing implements/PTO safety, and heat illness.  The second hour will consist of two breakout sessions, one for vineyards, and the other for orchards.  Orchard harvest safety includes: equipment operation & safety (shaker, sweeper, harvester, field elevator) and hand raking. The Vineyard harvest safety portion includes: equipment operation & safety (grape harvester and gondola). Register to attend HERE.
