As more Eastern Filbert Blight resistant hazelnut varieties continue to be planted across the Willamette Valley of Oregon, bacterial blight is quickly becoming the most costly disease issue growers are facing. Younger trees are more susceptible to this disease, and it can be found plaguing nearly every young orchard in the valley at one level or another.
