PhD Grower Pushes the Limits on Salinity in Pistachios

The pistachio market remains strong despite the COVID-19 impact on the global economy; however California pistachio growers are still limited on availability of quality water and soil to meet the growing demand for this valuable commodity.  There is hope though for growers on marginal land as this PhD grower has found a way to meet the needs of his crop amidst less than ideal soil/water conditions.
